Wyman Ronald White, 77, passed away on January 19, 2023, surrounded by his family . He was born on September 20, 1945, in Minden, Louisiana to parents J.R. and Colleen White. He graduated High School in Springhill, Louisiana. Upon graduation, Wyman moved to Kingsville, Texas, where he worked on the King Ranch before embarking on his professional career in the Petrochemical Industry with Hudson Engineering. Wyman worked for several engineering companies and was stationed across the globe during his career. In 1981, Wyman earned a Bachelor’s Degree of Science from the University of Houston where he continued to build on his career before retiring from Jacobs Engineering and Constructors in 2011 after more than a 45-year career. Wyman was a man of multi-talents, and was proud to be known as a hard worker. 

While Wyman considered Texas his native state, he moved to Antioch, CA after meeting his future wife Karen where they would spend almost 30 years together. Besides his family and friends, he loved the rodeo, horses, dogs, and was an avid sports fan. He played basketball, softball, golf, racquetball and tennis. Wyman was also very well known for his talent of Texas style BBQ grilling. He won several local contests and most people will forever associate Wyman with his signature brisket. 

Wyman is survived by his wife: Karen White; Children: Ronnie White, Andrea & Bruce Reed, and James Mayhew, Julie Mayhew, and Brandie Mayhew; many loving grandchildren/great-grandchildren; as well as his Aunt Ann Davis, his many cousins, and his cherished Westie: Kaley. He was preceded in death by his aforementioned parents: JR & Coleen, and his Uncle Marlon Lindsey whom he considered a brother. 

A celebration of life is being planned for family and friends on Saturday, February 25th from 2 - 6pm at Wyman's home in Antioch, CA. Wyman is in the care of Higgins Chapel in Antioch, CA. Anyone wishing to make a donation in memory of Wyman may consider the American Lung Association.
