Tyrone Omar Lewis was born November 18, 1975 in Oakland California to Darlene Collins and Tyrone Lewis. On February 18, 2020 he passed away peacefully at the age of 44 at his home in Oakley California. Omar's cause of death was cancer, which he was diagnosed with in 2016. Tyrone is preceded by both parents as well as his grandmother Vera Rhymes. He leaves behind one brother, Richard Wheeler and his cousin Micheal Scoggins who was like a brother. He also leaves behind many cousins, aunts, and uncles.
His passion was music. At the early age of 9 he had a hit single, I'm only nine, under the name T. Omar. Although he had that hit as an artist, his main focus was production (making beats). Omar would get new pieces of equipment as well as new software and learn them inside out, that's where alot of his joy came from. He drew inspiration from his favorite producers which included Teddy Riley, Timbaland, and The Neptunes. His favorite movie by far was The Matrix from which he created his producer name, Matrax.
Omar also enjoyed cooking and bay area sports. His teams were The Golden State Warriors, San Francisco Forty Niners, and San Francisco Giants.
