Born April 14, 1943 in Legaspi City, Philippines. Rodolfo Candol Alcala passed away peacefully on August 2, 2021 at Stonebrook Healthcare Center where he was a resident since September 2019. He was a dedicated, caring and loving husband, father and grandfather (fondly known as LOLO RUDY).
He proudly served in the U.S. Army for 12 years and in Military Sealift Command for 16 years. During his time in the Army and as Merchant Marine, he had traveled the 7 Seas, whole Asia, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, South America and Middle East. In his retirement, he enjoyed taking care of his wife, watching and spending time with his grandchildren, watching Discovery Channel and western movies, trips to casino and most of all, fishing.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, 6 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by his loving wife, Lidwina; brother, Romeo; 3 devoted children Michael, Caroline and Richard; and 7 handsome grandchildren (Cedrick , Aidan, Daylen, Liam, Evan, Gian, and Renzo).
Our hearts are broken, but we are Thankful you are finally resting in PEACE. Thank you for all the Love and Devotion you gave us. We LOVE you. We MISS you.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 from 1PM-5PM.
A Prayer Service with Military Honors rendered by the U.S. Army, will begin at 3PM.
