Born February 25, 1940 to Joseph and Maxine Silvera in Berkeley, California. Bob had 3 siblings, Gary of Walnut Creek, Judy (deceased), and David (deceased). He grew up in Walnut Creek, California and graduated from Los Lomas High School.
Bob married the love of his life, Linda Phillips from Martinez, California. Together they had 2 children, Louretta LaDawn and Anthony Robert; 6 grandsons, Douglas Hammer, Joseph Hammer, Vincent Hammer, Robert Agness, Justin Agness, and Curtiss Agness.
Bob was a dedicated family man and was always very active. As a child he was in many Soap Box Derby’s, belonged to Boy Scouts, and later Drag Racing. He enjoyed fishing and camping in the mountains and was an avid swimmer. He also enjoyed going to the football games. Bob was a Truck Driver and loved the Big Rigs. He owned R, J, Silvera Trucking, which trucked over 7 western states - many times taking his family with him. He loved Boxing and sparred with Carl Bobo Olsen, the then Middle Weight Champion of the World. He also enjoyed woodworking and made his grand-sons rocking chairs, among many other items. Unknown to a lot of people he did oil painting, creating beautiful paintings from land- scape to wild animals.
He and his wife built 2 homes. The last one was on an empty acre in the rural Brentwood/Knightsen area. He created a beautiful paradise setting with his landscaping.
He will be missed by all who loved him.
