Life has a funny way of teaching us.
It will create a deep sadness so we truly know how to understand happiness. It will create chaos in us so that we know how to appreciate the peaceful times and it will take those away from us so that we will truly understand what their presence meant to us. - Dave Hedges
Friends and family, this is one of those moments.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful mother, Pamela Jean Cornilsen.
On February 1st, our beloved, left this life and entered into paradise to be reunited with her parents and brother. She was surrounded by her three children, Marcie, Marty & Shelee, her sister Connie, daughter-in-law Angela and granddaughter Allison. Pam's final words were “I love you, too”; a sentiment that brings us peace.
Pamela lived a life full of love, commitment and adoration for her family. You always knew you had her undivided attention and focus. She taught her children to work hard, to chase dreams and to love those around you well and often.
Those who knew her will forever smile thinking about her feistiness, frequent eye rolls, her love of stories, good ice-cream, watching a murder mystery or diy home shows, writing poetry, the beach, being outside, beanie hats, and epic tea parties.
In honoring her wishes, we will not be holding a service or memorial. Instead, her immediate family will be celebrating with a ceremonial spreading of her ashes.
We know so many of you loved her and would love to show your support in some way. We invite you to lift us up in prayer as we grieve her loss. And we would love to hear your memories or stories of her. Know that we will celebrate those memories alongside you.
And though we mourn because she’s gone. We also celebrate because she’s free and we smile because of the moments shared together.
