Martha Reba White

March 27, 1928 ~ April 26, 2019 (age 91)

Lived in Antioch for over 50 years

Martha passed away in Coarsegold, CA. Friday morning April 26, 2019 after a long battle with Dementia/Alzheimer’s.


     Martha was born in Jethro, Arkansas. When she was very young she saw the most handsome man riding a white horse delivering the mail. In 1946 she married that handsome man William (Bill) White and moved to California. Antioch is where she raised her four children all graduating from Antioch High. Martha worked at Delta Bowl as a playroom matron and was a second Mom to many children while their parents bowled. She loved children. Martha and Bill were active square dancers and belonged to the Antioch Amblers for many years until the death of Bill. Martha and Bill were both baptized at the Northside Church of Christ in Antioch. She moved to Coarsegold, CA when she developed dementia to be closer to her children to get the care and love she needed.

     Martha is survived by her children, Cleta Thompson of Coarsegold, CA, Danny White of Red Bluff, CA., Reba Ahart of Coarsegold, CA. and Larry White of Pea Ridge, AR. She is also survived by her sister, Ruth Hobbs of Booneville, AR. and many friends and relatives.

     Martha is in heaven having a family reunion, in the loving arms of her husband William (Bill) White and her parents, Willie and Bessie Nixon. She is also proceeded in death by her sister, Opal Whitaker, Clara Styers and Gwyda Nixon. Also, her brothers, Frank Nixon, Jim Nixon, and Garvis (Toady) Nixon. She was proceeded in death by many more family and friends.

     Martha has 9 Grandchildren, 30 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great grandchildren. She also has many, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She will be greatly missed by all.


Graveside services will be:

May 6th  Monday at 1PM
