Linda Joyce “Doll” Green Williams, 67, passed away peacefully at home on August 6, 2019. She is survived by her husband, Byron Williams, her son, Byron Williams II, her daughter, Courtney Williams, her granddaughters, Camille Brewer and Camaya Brewer, her mother, Lottie Burney, her sisters, Beverly Ann Green, Karen Burney, Sharon Burney, and Carla Burney-Anene, her brothers, Dale Burney, D. Keith Burney, Roy Green, Keith Green, Brian Green, Michael Green, and Ernest “Scooby” Green, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
“Doll” was a longtime employee and manager for Pacific Bell/AT&T before becoming a project manager for the Corporate Division of Longs Drugs and retiring in 2010. She had a very warm and outgoing personality, and she inherited her mother’s love of conversation. She also had a great sense of humor, a quick wit, and an infectious laugh. “Oma” delighted in spending time with her granddaughters, Camille and Camaya, and with her mother, Lottie. She also enjoyed scrapbooking, gardening, and telling her husband, Byron, what to do. She was an avid Golden State Warriors fan. “Doll” and Byron regularly hosted family and friends in their home for holidays, barbeques or just to connect. She enjoyed jazz concerts, skiing, and traveling.
A viewing and memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Higgins Chapel, 1310 A Street, Antioch, CA, 94509. The viewing for the family will be from 4 PM-5PM, followed by a viewing and memorial service from 5 PM-7 PM. A gravesite ceremony will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at 2:30 PM at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, CA 95620.
