Larry Eugene Rowe passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 19th after a valiant battle with cancer. He touched many lives with his adventurous spirit, outgoing personality, kindness and humor.
Larry was born in Oakley, CA and graduated from Antioch High School in 1958. He served 4 years in the U.S Navy and then spent the next 40 years in sales. After retiring from sales, he loved providing shuttle services for All Outdoors White-Water Rafting. He enjoyed rock hounding, hunting reptiles, golfing, traveling and his favorite activity after retirement was participating in competitions with the Single Action Shooting Society. He loved spending time with friends and family who were always entertained by the many stories of his adventurous life.
Larry is survived by his loving companion, Frances Douglas; devoted children Shawn Rowe of Benicia and Stephanie Young of Denton, Texas; grandchildren Karen Rowe of Benbrook, Texas, Amy Rowe of Wisconsin, Ethan Young and Hank Young of Denton, Texas. He is also survived by his sisters, Judi Pitkin of Brentwood and Debbie Martinez of Antioch. His generous loving spirit will be missed by all who knew him.
Due to the recent pandemic, services will be postponed until a later date. Family members and close friends will be notified of plans for a celebration of life to honor Larry.
