Long time Antioch resident Kenneth E. Orman passed away Sat. Aug. 26, 2017, at home with his family after a courageous 7 year battle with lung cancer. He was 74 years old. Ken was born to Ida and Emil Orman on July 27, 1943 in Fresno, CA. He was an Antioch High School graduate who loved to spend time on the Delta fishing and in the mountains above Paradise, CA deer hunting with his brother. He also enjoyed watching all the grandchildren play sports, tending to his yard with his beautiful orchids and an occasional trip to a casino.
Ken worked for Johnson Lumber, Boise Cascade, the Railroad before retiring a Teamster. He then began his career with Computech Lumber where he retired from the Carpenters union in 2006.
Ken passed away a hard-working man, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife Juanita to whom he had been married to for 55 years, children Kenneth Orman Jr., Paul (Diana) Orman and daughter Anna (Danny) Kittleson. He will be greatly missed by his 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ida Johnson, father, Emil Orman, brother, Rodney Orman and sister Virginia Orman.
The family will be holding a private service at Ken’s request and contributions in his name can be made to Hospice.
