Beloved mother, wife, aunt and lifelong volunteer Julia Rose Dillon passed on March 4, 2018. Julia resided in the Sierra Nevada foothills at Gold Country Retirement Living in Placerville, CA during four of her previous years. She spent many hours outdoors year around enjoying the garden and patio, napping and sunning herself. She seldom was in her room,attended community meals and attended much of the scheduled activities to take advantage of every opportunity to socialize.
Julia served on the Catholic Altar Society in both Antioch and South Lake Tahoe. She also served in official positions as a 65 year member Young Ladies Institute (YLI). She had a true passion for serving community, a strong trait she has passed onto her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
At age 47 Julia was predeceased by her husband William Francis Dillon, Navy veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict, watchmaker, carpenter and millwright. Julia lived the rest of her years devoted to her husband. Julia was also predeceased by four of her brothers and sisters and their spouses.
Julia leaves behind her loving brother Lori Sorvetti (90) ofVacaville, son William Dillon of Kansas City MO, son Richard Dillon (daughter-in-law, Tina Dillon) of Hawthorne NV, daughter Juliana Perrissinotto (son-In-law Bruce Tannenbaum) of Pepperell MA, grandchildren Natina Perrotti of Groton MA,Larry Stanley of San Rafael, Julia Nicole Dunn of Lees SummitMO and four great grandchildren; Cayland, Sophia, Carmelita, Carlo. Just as important to Julia are her loving and generous family members living throughout the West Coast.
Rosary service will be held Friday, March 9th at 7 pm, Higgins Chapel, 1310 A St, Antioch
with visitation from 5 to 9 pm. Mass will be held Saturday, March 10th at 11 am, Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1313 A St, Antioch. Internment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery of Antioch.
