Janet was born in Oakland, California on December 26, 1931. She lived and was raised there by her mother Mabel and step-dad Bill Clement. She attended high school in Oakland where she met her high school sweetheart Albert Garcia, and they married soon after graduation. They lived in Oakland for several years, where son Stephen and daughter Sharon where born. They then moved to Concord where daughter Tracy was born.
Janet worked a number of jobs, including bank teller for Bank of America and working for a traveling vet, which she loved. Next to her family her love for animals was her passion. Not only did she work for a traveling vet she also raised many a animals including, dogs, pigs, cows, horses, peacocks, chickens and a menagerie of many other creatures. She lived on her beloved ranch for 48 years. After the death of her love Albert, she moved to Antioch then Oakley to be closer to her daughters.
Janet was preceded in death by son Stephen, and husband Albert. She is survived by her two daughters, 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.
Services will be held at The Chapel at Rockville Cemetery in Fairfield, CA on Sept. 27th, 2019. Viewing starts at 9:30, services at 10:00, with burial immediately following.
