He inspired many people’s lives with his love, caring, and willingness to talk with everybody and share a word of encouragement.
Jim was born in Valier, Montana and enjoyed visiting family there each summer.
In 1943 Jim was a brakeman and Third Class Stationary Engineer for the Great Northern Railway Company. He was then employed at A. B. Cobb and Company, Cutbank, Montana, assisting in oil drilling operations from 1943 to 1944.
Jim was a proud World War II veteran, serving as a Staff Sergeant in the Army from September 16, 1946 until September 17, 1949.
Jim worked for Montana Power before moving to California. He started working for PG&E at the Pittsburg Switching Station as an Operator until his retirement in 1986.
He took pleasure in spending time with his wife Lorraine of 59 years, his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jim and Lorraine both loved to travel and attended many family reunions where they would dance the night away.
Jim was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lorraine and daughter Cindy. He is survived by his children: Jimmy, Ellen, Elaine, Debbie, Evelyn and Frank; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
