Gareth (Gary) Warren Inman left this world peacefully with his wife by his side at their Brentwood, CA home. He was born in Oran, MO and moved to Santa Clara, CA shortly after finishing high school. He began his career as a machinist and worked his way through the ranks until he became Plant Manager of an innovative environmental company, which manufactures compacting machines to reduce landfill waste.
Gary’s sense of humor and twinkle in his eyes instantly won over all who met him. He was always called “Mr. Inman” by his wife to distinguish him from his son, whose name is also Gary. Family and friends also began calling him “Mr. Inman.” Gary was preceded in death by his brothers: William “Billy” (Harriet) and Paul Inman (Therese), his sisters: Betty Hunt and Janice, as well as his beloved dog, Toby.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years, Doni Graham Inman, sisters: Kay Medlock (Don), Gayle (Devon) Bell, sons: Steven Jay, Gary Edward, Chad Andrew Inman, and daughters: Lisa Beck-Higdon of Lathrop, CA and Melanie Anne Allen of Oakdale, CA.
Gary was an avid reader of science fiction and owned a near-complete collection of James Axler’s “Death Lands” series. Gary enjoyed baseball and football, but his passion was NASCAR, rarely missing a Sunday race. Gary’s exceptional skills in welding, machining, fabrication and general around-the-house maintenance ability will be sorely missed by his wife who loved his “If-you-can-dream-it, build-it” attitude.
To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven. A time to be born, a time to die, a time to laugh, a time to weep. And a time for peace. We have all loved you dearly.
Rest in Peace, Mr. Inman.
