Delores DeLisle-Derrick (Dee)our beloved mother, grandmother, wife, sister, and friend passed away January 22, 2021.

Dee was a member of the LDS Church and would serve the Antioch 2nd award for most of her life. She believed in serving her church and community. She worked many jobs through out her life, as she was an extremely hard worker. She always had a strong passion and dream to work with, and teach young children. Later in life she decided to make that dream come true. In her early 40’s she decided to go back to college and obtained two degrees. She graduated in 1990 and 1992 with degrees in Early Childhood Development. She found her calling and became a preschool teacher for Antioch Leisure services, where she would work for many years. She loved her job and was an excellent teacher. She continued her love for learning as she worked in the library at Los Medanos College at the same time.
Along with teaching, her other passion was of course, her children. Dee was always proud of the children she was raising. She was always supportive of their activities and could be seen volunteering at every Baton event, football, basketball, volleyball game and cheerleading competition she could. She had many titles throughout her life ...daughter, sister, wife, friend, but was most proud to be called Mom. Dee had a huge heart and was always available to family, friends, and neighbors, who needed her time, advice or simply needed a place to stay. She was simply MAMMA DEE to many.
She loved doing arts and crafts and enjoyed going to wood painting classes with her family. Her favorite holiday was of course Christmas. She enjoyed decorating her house for the holidays, which turned into a family tradition that produced countless memories. In her later years she simply loved to color and paint. Her children Denise, Devin, Deana and Donelle were her life, they meant everything to her. She loved them very much, and raised them with great pride. She also loved being a grandma and being able to spoil her grandkids whenever possible.
Later in life she married her high school sweetheart Patrick Derrick and would retire to Seattle Wa. area where she would live for the remainder of her life.
