Carolyn Broussard was born to Joseph and Mary on April 30, 1960, the second of four children in San Francisco, CA. Carolyn passed away on January 27th, 2020 at Sutter Health after her recent development of breast cancer, pneumonia, and complications related to paralysis. She was surrounded by her family and loved ones in her last hours before she went to be with the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Carolyn attended All Hallows Catholic School and St. Mary’s Cathedral. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1979. Carolyn was a gentle person with a kind heart, sweet spirit, and caring personality. She always made people around her laugh, and she devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to those she loved. She treasured her children as well as her granddaughter.
In addition to her passion for cooking, Carolyn loved to eat. She had an insatiable sweet tooth for anything chocolate, and one of her specialties was making Pecan Praline candy and German Chocolate cake. She is survived by her mother and step-father Mary and David Perez, father Joseph Broussard, daughter and son Doria and Darius Brown, granddaughter Zah’Miyah, brothers Maurice (Tony) and Joseph Jr. (Big Boy), sister Anita, nieces Ashley and Promyce, nephew Cameron and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
