Arthur Clinton Naftel Jr.

Arthur passed away peacefully on October 24, 2017 residing in Antioch, CA. Art was born September 19, 1932 in French Camp, CA to parents Arthur Sr., and Marjorie. Art had one Brother William D. Naftel, and surviving sisters Jean Naftel and Mabel Ann Naftel-Keller. The family mostly resided in an around the Stockton area where Arthur made Stockton his home for life. Art married Anita N. Dorrofu in 1955 and was together for 46 years before Anita’s passing in 2001. They had three Children: Surviving son Andrew, and Alan and Andrea, who predeceased their father, before their reunion this past week. Arthur remarried Janice Rose Naftel in 2003, and the couple resided at various times of the year between Greeley Hill, Ca, La Pine, OR, and Springfield, OR. They moved into Assisted Living in Antioch, 2015, to be close to Andy. Janice passed away in May of that year. Art was a Veteran who served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War 1951-54. He also served in the California Army National Guard 1955-1989 where he earned the rank of Command Sergeant Major. Art is survived by Sisters Jean and Mabel Ann, Son Andy, Daughter–in-law Lita Naftel, Grandchildren Mary Ann Mararac, Melissa Naftel, Andy Naftel II, Victoria Naftel, and Maxwell Naftel. Great Grand Children Luke, Jude, and Austin. He is also survived by Nieces and Nephews Barbara Naftel, Bill Naftel Jr., Tim Naftel, Regina Van Wie, Kathy Keller-Vincent, Nancy Ortiz, and Susan Richardson. Arthur had 85 fruitful years with no regrets and much love for his family and friends. Please come celebrate Arthur’s life, in a memorial service on Saturday November 4, 2017 at 11:00 AM.
