Allan Jay Harris passed away after a courageous battle with cancer.
He inspired many people’s lives with his love, caring, and willingness to talk with everybody and share a word of encouragement.
Allan was born in Walnut Creek, and lived in Antioch and Brentwood for most of his life. He attended school in Antioch and graduated from Antioch High School, where he was involved in sports. He played football, baseball, and track throughout all of his school years, and always had a love for sports.
He also enjoyed working in his yard, and barbequing, cooking for others and spending time with his wife Julie of 35 years and his boys Matt, Mikey, and Jarrod.
He was a member of Family Bible church since 2009 to present, Allan inspired so many people with his love for Jesus, and he would never hesitate to testify of his love for the Lord or give anyone the time to speak to them about Jesus. God and his Family was such a large part of Allan’s life.
Allan spent the past 20 years driving trucks. He retired from Contract Sweeping, and worked for various construction jobs driving dump trucks and various types of trucks and equipment, he worked at Coors and Budweiser as a driver and delivery from 1996-2004, prior to that he worked in factories, and landscaping.
Allan is survived by his loving wife Julie, sons Matthew and Michael. He is preceded in death by his son Jarrod. Survived by his Mother Marzell Harris and preceded in death by his father JC (Jay) Harris. Survived by his brother Mark (Peggy), brother Brian, mother in law Stephanie Lamb, father in law Richard Norway, sister in law Sheri O’Brien and brother in law Brian Norway. Nieces Rhiannon Harris, Rachel Harris, Taylor Truesdell and Miann Taimas, and nephews, Nicholas Norway, Stephen Norway, and Max Norway.
