Alfred Arroyos, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 16, 2023, at the age of 55.
He was born on August 25, 1967, in Martinez California to Raul and Josephine Arroyos. He was raised in Brentwood, California, attended Liberty Union High School, graduating the class of 1985.
Alfred had a passion for cooking and baking. He loved to create and share his latest creations Any gathering, birthday, or holiday, he welcomed as an excuse to go all in out preparing a full spread for family and friends to indulge in. He was best known for cakes and Christmas breakfast casseroles.
He began working at the local establishments in Brentwood, and Nationwide in Concord, Neighborhood Youth Corps (NYC) and finally working for Contra Costa County where Alfred helped to establish the Contra Costa County, Independent Living Skills Program as the reputable program that it is today. He assisted thousands of current and former foster youth throughout Contra Costa County and his impact stretches across California. He began his tenure with ILSP as a contracted Employment Specialist where he served for 10 years. In 2008, he became a permanent employee and just celebrated 15 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, the love of his life Patricia; his children Lourdes Ortiz(Tony), Diana and Marissa Ramirez-Nino, Samuel, Patrick, and Elizabeth Arroyo his grandchildren Marcus, Santana, Benjamin, Zeus, and Baby Ortiz; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Alfred will be remembered as a selfless, generous, kind person, and loyal friend, who will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
