Albert Sbranti passed away peacefully, with family by his side, on Tuesday, October 29th. He was 79 years old. Al was born in Pittsburg, California on December 16, 1939, to Julio and Norma Sbranti. He grew up in San Leandro, California where he graduated from San Leandro High School in 1958, excelled in baseball and met the love of his life, Rhoda, whom he later married in 1963. He spent two years at San Mateo College and shortly after, joined the United States Army and Army Reserve, where he served six years. Al was a member of the carpenters union for 30 years. He worked his early years as a carpenter and was later promoted to foreman and eventually superintendent for A.D. Seeno Construction Company. Upon retiring from construction, Al found great joy in working with the public on their personal home projects, as he spent several years at the Home Depot and Big B Lumber. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved to play golf and bocce with family and friends. Al was a master at barbeque and enjoyed entertaining friends and neighbors. He was passionate about attending his grandchildren’s many sporting events and activities and loved to travel with his wife, Rhoda.
Albert is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Rhoda, his children Gregory Sbranti (Jody, and grandchildren Ryan, Zachary and Cody) of Pioneer, Scott Sbranti (Nancy, and grandchildren Shea and McCall) of Oakley, Bryan Sbranti (Cyndi, and grandchildren Camryn and Grace) of Pollock Pines. He is also survived by his brother Robert Sbranti (Stephen) of Ocala, Florida.
